io letto dal forum di Vdrum, a riguardo di un problema simile al mio, cioè l'aggiornamento del firmware della centralina, il seguente messaggio:
"I think that is your problem. The cable needs to support sending long sysex messages which is NOT a requirement for a MIDI cable. Also, every "no name" cable that I have ever seen did not provide a driver -- they expect you to use the generic "USB Audio Device" driver that comes with Windows. The problem with the Windows driver is that it does not have a large enough buffer for the long sysex messages that Roland uses. So, the USB cable needs to have a built-in buffer to make up for the small message buffer in the Microsoft driver. But, most of the cheap cables do not have a buffer because they would have to charge more money for the cable and that would defeat the goal of making the cable cheap.
So, in short, either you need to buy a new USB to MIDI cable, or you need to call the no-name manufacturer and see if they can provide support for your issue"
dal quale ho capito che la mancanza di driver specifici non danno abbastanza buffer per il transito di dati (traduzione stretta al succo).
quindi oltre comprare un cavo da 30 e passa euro, quale potrebbe essere la soluzione?
