Pretty impressive job.

Just a question: by the look of some modified cymbals, it seems that the modification process you used involves also some alternative process other than hammering. Did you use some lathing as well? If so which tools did you use? (meaning, what type of material).

Yes there is also lathing. I built my own lathe. It's powered by a heavy electric motor of 2 HP.
Also I treat some cymbals chemically to create a patina for a drier sound. Sometimes I lathe away certain parts afterwards, which you can see on the pics.

It just makes the sound a little drier like an old oxidized cymbal.

And finally, a 22" Paiste Signature Power Ride, hammered and lathed into a 22,75" Extra Dark ride, 2820 gr. The very soft B15 "Paiste Alloy" allowed me to make the cymbal 0,75" larger!

same cymbals in particular are incredibile after your work. i think you've great capacities and you can easily find work into great cymbal companies, if you want.

Factories want to make cymbals in the fastest possible way with as little hammering as possible. I do the opposite !
It's exactly because I don't like those quickly made factory cymbals that I once started hammering my own cymbals.

In generale il suono risulta pi? cupo e la risposta del piatto meno reattiva. i ride mi sembrano abbiano poco ping. Di certo un ottima opera, e rinnovo i miei complimenti, ma indicata a chi ha determinati gusti. A parer mio la modifica su alcuni piatti ? controproducente. Ascoltate i sample! Alcuni sono davvero bellissimi.
